Kyung-Min Na5’10 170lbs hits from the left side
Build: Very small and thin build with a frame that doesn’t look it can carry a whole lot more weight. That being said, he is an athlete with quick actions on the plate and in the field.
Hitting: Very calm and controlled at the plate. A very handsy hitter who tracks the ball well and hits the ball deeper in the zone than any of his teammates. He almost has an Ichrio like approach where it looks like he gets a running start out of the box but not to such extreme as Ichiro. He showed excellent coverage of the outside third of the plate. When he was ahead in the count he showed the ability to get plus extension and combined with his plus bat speed allowed him to drive the ball with authority to the left center gap. When he was behind in the count he can either knock the ball on the ground and create a close play at first or just dunk the ball over the shortstop’s head for a single. His lower half is very coordinated and allowed him to turn on the inside pitch. Eugene tried to rotate to his push side to take away his opposite field ability but he turned heads when he smoked a ball down the first base line. He had a great eye at the plate and handled the bat extremely well. On Eugene’s turf field it was almost too easy for him to drop down a drag bunt and easily beat it out to first.
Fielding: His plus speed allowed him to have a good solid range in center field. He showed good reactions and was especially good going side to side. I never saw him get a chance to really unleash a throw but from what I saw his arm is a tick below average but not to the point where teams will be able to readily exploit it.
Now: a defensive replacement who when given the chance will work counts and be smart with runners on base.
In the future: He could be a Korean Michael Bourn if everything develops perfectly. He doesn’t run quite as well as Bourn but very few can say they can. More than likely he is a fourth outfielder on a second division team.

- 왜소한 체격의 좌타자. 장기적으로 몸집이 불어날 가능성도 없어 보임.- 즉 민첩함과 운동능력을 바탕으로 타석과 수비에서 승부를 걸어야 하는 타자.- 차분한 타자이며 선구안이 굿.- 타석에서 손재주가 좋아서 멀리 들어오는 공을 동료 선수들보다 잘 맞춰냄.- 타격은 이치로 or 마이클 본 타입의 극단적 똑딱이지만 이치로만큼 폭발적이지는 못함.- 타석에서 존의 바깥쪽 2/3 영역의 공을 잘 커버함.- 카운트에 앞서 있을때 바깥쪽 공을 잘 공략해서 중견수와 좌익수 사이의 공간으로 공을 보낼 수 있음.- 카운트에 뒤쳐져 있을때는 공에 어떻게든 방망이를 맞춰서 아슬아슬하게 살아보려는 시도.- 하체가 균형잡혀 안쪽 공 잘 공략함.- eugene(컵스 쇼트시즌 싱글 A팀)의 그라운드가 개판이라 번트대고 1루에서 살기 좋았음.
- 플러스급의 스피드를 바탕으로 넓은 중견수 수비 범위를 가짐.- 공에 대한 반응속도가 좋고 공을 잘 쫒아감.- 강력한 송구를 할 만한 기회 자체를 못보기는 했지만, 언뜻보기에 어깨는 평균을 밑도는 것으로 보였음.
- 대수비 요원 포텐셜. 공을 잘 골라 볼넷을 얻어낼줄 알며 똘똘한 주루를 선사해줄 수 있는.
- 모든 것이 잘 맞아떨어져 성장한다면 한국인 마이클 본. - 현실적으로 제4외야수 혹은 하위권 팀에게 어울릴 수준의 선수로 성장할 듯.
