*** The Twin Emperors Strat *** Some observations, as accurate as my experience has proven: This is not really a "gimmick" fight. The bugs don't do a darn thing to the emperors. They're there just to hinder/distract you (and kill your healers). You have to tank the Emperors on separate sides of the room because of their heal. It has a 60- or 70-yard range. Keep them out-of-range so that they can't heal, or you wipe. Tank Vek'Nilash (sword) with a warrior. Tank Vek'Lor (caster) with a Warlock at 315 Shadow Resist. Soul Link, Shadow Protection, and Master Demonologist are all options on helping with the Warlock tank. Warlocks can hit about 7000 HP, too, so they're pretty good tanks (Runed Stygian gear, HP librams/enchants, etc. etc.). Vek'Lor is immune to physical damage (which is why a Warlock needs to tank and sustain aggro). Vek'Nilash is immune to magic damage (Warrior can tank just fine). They teleport every 30ish seconds, and the Emperor will aggro onto the nearest person. When Vek'Lor teleports in, make sure your Warlock is the closest person to the mob (doesn't have to be right on top of him, just closest). Vice versa warrior Vek'Nilash. This means your DPS and warriors need to be running out before the teleport happens. This is the hardest part of the encounter, learning how to aggro them properly after each and every teleport. Your Warlock and Warrior should be switching in proximity every time a teleport happens. As far as I can tell, Vek'Lor uses his 4k Arcane Explosion when the tank is too close to him. Have the Warlock tank him at a decent range so that he just takes Shadowbolts. Run from Vek'Lor's Blizzard. Have your healers spread out. Vek'Nilash mutates bugs into giant bugs that hit for 1.5k apiece. Vek'Lor causes bugs to explode for 3k damage to people in proximity. Healers (and tanks!) need to especially watch out for exploding bugs on Vek'Lor's side (you can tell when they're about to explode because their antennas will catch on fire). You'll need a "bug group" to run around tanking/killing the giant mutated bugs that Vek'Nilash spawns. Obviously, this bug group will be running back and forth every 30 seconds to keep up with the teleport. They share the same life bar, so it doesn't really matter which one you DPS down. Your DPS might be constantly running back and forth, though. Expect huge damage spikes from both of them. Very difficult fight to heal, not very forgiving for mistakes. You have 15 minutes to kill them or you automatically wipe. I was told by a friend that both Vek'Lor's Arcane Explosion and Vek'Nilash's Unbalancing Strike are preventable, but I'm not sure how to prevent the Unbalancing Strike. Oh, and I almost forgot, if you're having trouble seeing and avoiding the exploding bugs, zoom your camera out to the max.
