A proper article on American interference in foreign elections would take up an entire edition of the NY Times.

Our media and politicians get all worked up when other countries meddle (or try to) in our elections. But they seldom address the far more serious issue of unlimited campaign contributions received from wealthy PACs, unions, corporations, and individuals. Is it not a fact that our elected offices are now essentially for sale to the highest bidder? Am I alone in viewing this as a serious problem?

Disinformation has spread so rapidly because it works.  It works only because there are so many gullible people who lack critical thinking skills.

Disinformation would wither and die like a weed sprayed with herbicide if all of the electorate had even the most basic critical thinking skills.

What goes around comes around. The US has a long history of interfering (to put it mildly) in the elections of other countries.

Why do these articles about foreign interference never mention Israel ?   The Israelis (well, technically Aipac, but no one is fooled) spent massively to defeat Jamaal Bowman and Cori Bush - two Democratic congress members who were considered too critical of Israel - and have spent heavily in other races. Is that not foreign interference?
